Our chopping board made of solid, local and not glued ash wood is handcrafted for us in a small carpentry workshop in Weimar. The oiled and finely ground surface makes the wooden chopping board a favorite in every kitchen, both visually and haptically. Due to the solid and not glued design, it is robust and durable. Our wooden board can be used on both sides. Each cutting board is individually made. Color deviations in the wood structure are therefore a quality feature and can occur.

Wooden cutting boards have many advantages!

Wooden boards are particularly suitable for all types of steel knives. Wood is softer than the blade steel. Because of this, your knife stays sharp longer and requires less re-sharpening. This also extends the life of your favorite knife.

In contrast to plastic cutting boards, wooden boards are particularly hygienic. They dry quickly and are easy to clean. The ingredients of the wood also ensure a germicidal effect. A wooden cutting board can accompany you for decades. Occasional re-oiling of the wooden board with a care oil extends its service life considerably.

As a renewable raw material, wood meets all the criteria for environmentally friendly and careful use of resources.

And last but not least: Our cutting board made of local ash wood simply looks good.
