Rattan is a strong, flexible, high-quality material with a unique, timeless look. Our rattan products are hand stretched. This gives the braid more tension than machine stretched. These quality advantages lead to optimum seating comfort.
Something that certainly doesn't always happen, but can happen, is that heavily stretched rattan is shaped by the user. Rattan weave is not always completely identical, because there are always small differences in the weave and the exact color scheme. These minute differences are usually negligible and barely visible to the naked eye. However, one should keep this in mind when considering purchasing a rattan product. Of course, none of these aspects have a negative impact on seating comfort, on the contrary.
We recommend the use of cushions for all chairs and benches. Cushions extend the life of rattan and increase comfort.
